Data Platform Engineer

What we are looking for:

• 5+ years of experience in Database Engineering ou Data Platform Engineering.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, SQL, database design, and data modelling ;
• Knowledge of indexing, transactions, migrations, partitioning, concurrency, and query optimization;
• Experience modelling operational, historical, configuration, and analytics data for production systems;
• Ability to provide reliable and high-performance data access to backend services;
• Understanding of data quality, traceability, auditability, retention, and schema evolution;
• Experience with Git, automated testing, CI/CD, Docker, and Linux;
• Professional proficiency in English.

Experience with Python or Rust, TimescaleDB, Redis, Kafka, NATS, MQTT, Kubernetes, time-series data, event-driven architectures, robotics, logistics, or industrial software will be valued.

This is a hands-on product engineering role focused on building scalable data foundations. It is not a pure DBA, Data Analyst, or reporting position.

Work Location & Flexibility

Hybrid model with 3 days per week on-site in Tagus Park, Portugal .
