Data Platform Engineer

1. Platform Implementation and Engineering

Implement data platform solutions and architectures designed by the Head/Lead of Data Platforms.

Deploy and configure platform components based on approved standards an reference architectures.

Support platform modernization and enhancement initiatives.

Assist in implementing automation, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and platform reliability improvements.

2. Infrastructure and Cloud Coordination

Coordinate with Cloud Infrastructure, Network, Security, and DevOps teams on platform deployments and changes.

Prepare, review, and execute Methods of Procedure (MoPs) for platform-related activities.

Support infrastructure provisioning, upgrades, migrations, and environment management.

\Ensure compliance with enterprise security and operational standards.

3. Operational Support and Service Management

Execute data platform infrastructure and operational tickets within defined SLAs.

Provision user access, service accounts, security permissions, and role-based access controls.

Manage onboarding of new applications, users, and data platform services.

Monitor platform health, performance, and availability.

4. Incident Management and Troubleshooting

Act as first-line technical support for platform-related incidents and service requests.

Diagnose and resolve data platform issues involving ingestion, storage, compute, networking, access, and integrations.

Escalate and coordinate resolution with vendors, cloud teams, and internal stakeholders as needed.

Perform root cause analysis and recommend preventive measures.

5. Platform Operations and Governance Support

Maintain platform documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.

Support audit, compliance, and security review activities.

Track platform capacity, utilization, and performance metrics.

Ensure adherence to platform standards, best practices, and governance requirements.

6. Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.

Reduce manual operational effort through scripting and automation.

Improve deployment efficiency, monitoring, observability, and platform resilience.

Contribute to knowledge transfer and the operational maturity of the data platform team.

Qualifitcation:

Mid-Level: 3–8 years of experience in data engineering roles using CI/CD and modern orchestration tools.

Proficient in dbt, Databricks, Kafka, and orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt Cloud).

Hands-on experience in CI/CD using GitLab or similar. Strong Python and SQL skills.

Good understanding of DataOps/MLOps principles, infrastructure-as-code, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Familiarity with banking data governance, metadata, and risk compliance frameworks (e.g., BSP, ISO 27001)

Pay: Php80,000.00 - Php150,000.00 per month
