Position Summary

We are seeking a Data Platform Engineer (DataOps) to support the reliability, security, performance, and continuous improvement of enterprise cloud data platforms. This role focuses on cloud infrastructure, platform administration, automation, and production support for critical analytics and data engineering workloads.

The ideal candidate has hands-on cloud engineering experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a background in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and modern data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Operations & Support

• Maintain and support enterprise cloud data platforms, ensuring availability, performance, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, platform, and data access issues, including incident response and root cause analysis.
• Implement proactive monitoring, alerting, and automated remediation.
• Maintain operational documentation and support runbooks.

Cloud Engineering & Automation

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise data workloads.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform and related tools.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and platform modernization initiatives.
• Optimize cloud performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Security & Platform Administration

• Administer and support platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, and Tableau Cloud.
• Manage access controls, credentials, secrets, and security configurations.
• Support vulnerability remediation, governance, and compliance initiatives.
• Partner with engineering, cybersecurity, and analytics teams to improve platform operations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience supporting cloud-based enterprise platforms.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or similar cloud environments.
• Experience supporting or administering modern data platforms.
• Proficiency in scripting, automation, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with production support, troubleshooting, and incident management.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience administering Databricks and/or Snowflake.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Python or Bash scripting.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Tableau Cloud or enterprise BI platforms.
• Knowledge of IAM, monitoring, observability, and data governance.
