Data Platform Project Manager

About the Role

In this role they will work with one of Insight Globals top financial client. They will drive delivery across a suite of platforms that deliver key data management, data federation, and analytics capabilities. The position will partner with Lines of Business, Finance, Treasury, Risk and other Technology teams within the bank to deliver enterprise-scale data solutions leveraging Starburst/Trino and modern distributed data platforms. The successful candidate will manage multiple concurrent initiatives spanning platform enhancement, data source onboarding, regulatory and governance activities, operational readiness, and technology modernization efforts. The role requires strong program management, stakeholder engagement, and governance expertise within a highly controlled and regulated financial services environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive delivery across a suite of platforms that deliver key data management, data federation, and analytics capabilities.
• Partner with Lines of Business, Finance, Treasury, Risk and other Technology teams within the bank to deliver enterprise-scale data solutions leveraging Starburst/Trino and modern distributed data platforms.
• Manage multiple concurrent initiatives spanning platform enhancement, data source onboarding, regulatory and governance activities, operational readiness, and technology modernization efforts.
• Apply strong program management, stakeholder engagement, and governance expertise within a highly controlled and regulated financial services environment.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of project or program management experience within large financial institutions or similarly regulated organizations.
• Experience with Starburst, Trino, Presto, Databricks, Snowflake, Hadoop, or similar enterprise data platforms.
• Demonstrated experience delivering complex technology, data, analytics, or platform modernization initiatives.
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery models.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams consisting of architecture, engineering, infrastructure, operations, risk, and business stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of executive-level presentations and governance materials.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities and aggressive delivery timelines.
• Strong RAID management, dependency tracking, issue escalation, and executive reporting experience.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, project financial management, and resource planning.
• Working knowledge of enterprise data platforms, cloud technologies, data warehousing, analytics, or distributed query technologies.
• Ability to navigate complex governance, risk, compliance, audit, and change-management processes.

Pay range and compensation package

60 - 68/hr
