Data Protection Executive

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

• Ensure that company policies are in compliance with codes of practice such as PDPA and/or GDPR (General
  Data Protection Regulation)
• Oversee the delivery of privacy and data protection training and awareness for employees involved in personal data processing through the provision of bespoke, ad hoc training to improve local/regional knowledge
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance and to address potential issues
• Maintain records of all data processing activities of the company
• Serve as point of contact for data protection authorities
• Serve as the main point of contact within the organization for staff members, regulators, and relevant public authorities on issues related to data protection
• Evaluate the existing data protection framework to identify areas of no or partial compliance, and rectify any issues.

REQUIREMENT & QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field
• 2 years in Data Protection, Regulatory Compliance
• Have a good understanding in PDPA law, Data Subject Right (DSR): Record of Processing (ROP) & Data
  Flow Diagram (DFD)
• Having knowledge of the Data Protection Officer from retail operation will be an advantage
• Report to Data Protection & Risk Management Manager
