Data Science & AI Engineering Trainee

Join us to build or expand your skills through intensive, hands-on learning in three key areas:

• Data Science & Machine Learning. Build a strong foundation in data science, including statistics, data analysis and machine learning and learn how to apply these skills to real-world challenges.
• Deep Learning & Specialization. Explore deep learning techniques and develop your expertise in one of three specialized areas: Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning Engineering or Time Series Analysis.
• AI Solution Engineering. Learn how to design and build modern AI solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents and other industry-relevant technologies.

After completing all program stages, candidates will be prepared to apply their skills in data science and AI-related roles. High-performing candidates might get opportunities to join EPAM, depending on available positions.

Skills Requirements

• English level of B2 (Upper-Intermediate) or higher
• Strong knowledge of Python, including NumPy and Pandas
• Knowledge of mathematical analysis, including derivatives, integrals and extrema of functions
• Knowledge of linear algebra, including vectors, matrices, tensors, linear equations, eigenvalues and eigenvectors
• Knowledge of probability theory, including conditional probability, Bayes theorem and expectation
• Knowledge of statistics, including hypothesis testing and estimation of distribution parameters
• Understanding of basic optimization concepts and methods, including gradient descent and Lagrange multipliers
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, including sorting algorithms and algorithm complexity

Profile Requirements

• Ukrainian citizens currently residing in Ukraine
• Second-to-last or final year university students and recent graduates
