Job summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Science Instructor to join our training team. The candidate will be responsible for delivering practical training in data analytics and data science, guiding students through hands-on projects, and equipping them with the skills required to collect, analyze, and visualize meaningful insights from data.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

• Deliver practical and engaging lessons in Data Analytics and Data Science.
• Teach data analysis, data cleaning, data visualization, and statistical concepts.
• Train students on tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, Power BI, Python, and relevant data science libraries.
• Teach Python programming for data analysis and data science.
• Guide students through real-world datasets, analytical projects, and case studies.
• Teach data visualization, dashboard development, and reporting.
• Introduce students to basic machine learning concepts and techniques.
• Develop lesson plans, course materials, assignments, and practical exercises.
• Assess students through assignments, tests, and practical projects.
• Monitor students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Guide students in building data analytics and data science projects for their portfolios.
• Keep course content updated with current data analytics, data science tools, technologies, and industry trends.
• Maintain a professional, supportive, and engaging learning environment.

Requirements:

• Diploma or relevant professional qualification in Data Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong practical experience in Data Analytics and/or Data Science.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, Power BI, and Python.
• Good understanding of statistics, data analysis, and data visualization.
• Experience with Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, and Seaborn.
• Knowledge of databases and data management.
• Understanding of machine learning concepts is an added advantage.
• Ability to work with real-world datasets and derive meaningful insights.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to students at different skill levels.
• Previous teaching, training, mentoring, or industry experience is an added advantage.
