About the Opportunity

We're looking for a hands-on Data Scientist to join a fast-growing, US-based AI startup building intelligent solutions that transform complex, unstructured product data into accurate, structured information.

You'll work with real-world datasets, including text, images, PDFs, spreadsheets, and product catalogs, developing machine learning and LLM-powered systems that extract, classify, validate, and enrich information at scale.

This is an opportunity to own the complete machine learning lifecycle, from experimentation and model development to production deployment, evaluation, and monitoring.

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving challenging data problems, building production-ready AI systems, and working independently within a small, highly technical team.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for classification, attribute extraction, and data enrichment.
• Build end-to-end ML and LLM-powered pipelines, including RAG, embeddings, and information retrieval workflows.
• Process noisy, unstructured, and multimodal datasets to generate accurate, structured outputs.
• Develop and implement model evaluation strategies to ensure extraction accuracy, data quality, and reliability.
• Optimize machine learning pipelines for scalability, performance, and production readiness.
• Collaborate directly with technical leadership to design and improve AI-driven products.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Applied AI.
• Strong hands-on Python experience, including Pandas, scikit-learn, and PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Proven experience developing, evaluating, and deploying ML models into production , not just integrating third-party AI APIs.
• Practical expertise in NLP, Computer Vision, and/or LLM-based systems.
• Experience processing messy, unstructured, real-world datasets.
• Experience building and maintaining production ML pipelines.
• Ability to independently own technical solutions from development through deployment and monitoring.
• Comfortable working in an early-stage environment with a high degree of technical ownership.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with e-commerce, product catalogs, or product intelligence.
• Experience with RAG architectures, embeddings, and vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, etc.).
• Experience with multimodal AI systems combining images, text, and metadata.
• Background working as an early AI/ML hire at a startup.
