Data Scientist

For our client, we are seeking a Data Scientist to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space.

This role will shape experimentation, statistical modeling, and product analytics to drive better decisions across the business. You will work with fragmented and complex datasets to build scalable analytical capabilities that support self-service decision-making. In partnership with cross-functional teams, you will identify opportunities to improve products, define meaningful metrics, and translate findings into clear business recommendations.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $150,000 – $177,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Develop sophisticated statistical models and experiments to inform strategic decisions
• Build scalable analytical capabilities that connect fragmented data for self-service decision-making
• Own complex analytical initiatives from problem definition through communication of findings
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define metrics and identify product improvement opportunities
• Advance the team's technical capabilities by mentoring others and using new analytical tools

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Data Science or a related analytical role, ideally in e-commerce or retail
• Strong foundation in experimentation, causal inference, statistical modeling, and product analytics
• Experience with complex datasets and building scalable analytical capabilities
• Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL; adept at leveraging LLMs and AI agents
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts for business audiences
