Data Scientist

Required skills and experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science and data engineering, with a strong emphasis on
  building production data pipelines

• Proven ability to architect end-to-end data pipelines: ingestion, transformation, feature engineering,
  and multi-consumer serving layers

• Prior experience taking at least one data product to production from concept to deployment

• Strong proficiency in Python; hands-on experience with pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Apache
  Airflow, Prefect, or equivalent)

• Experience designing and operating streaming data pipelines (e.g., Kafka, MQTT, Spark Streaming, or
  equivalent) alongside batch ETL/ELT workflows

• Solid SQL skills and experience with cloud data warehouses or lakehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Redshift,
  Databricks, Delta Lake)

• Familiarity with edge-to-cloud data architectures: local buffering, reliable forwarding, schema
  evolution, and backpressure handling

• Strong foundation in statistics, experimentation, and machine learning  able to build and deploy
  models that consume the platform's data

• Hands-on experience with DevOps and DataOps practices: CI/CD, data quality testing, schema
  contracts, and automated monitoring

• Experience designing data products for diverse consumers — from self-serve BI analysts to ML
  engineers to external API clients

• Drive to address complex data problems with scalable, maintainable technical solutions

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

• Desire to work in a highly collaborative, innovative, small team

• Strong initiative, self-starter, quick-learner, proactive contributor

• Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams (engineering, product, analytics, and business
  stakeholders); open to new technologies and evolving priorities

• Excellent presentation and written / oral communication skills
