Data Scientist

We are hiring a Data Scientist with 1 - 2 years of experience on behalf of our client. This role involves working closely with the client's product, engineering, and business teams to analyze data, build models, and support data-driven decision-making. It's a great opportunity for someone early in their career who's eager to grow, comfortable working with data day-to-day, and able to communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Role & responsibilities

• Clean, process, and analyze structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track key business metrics
• Develop and evaluate basic machine learning models (classification, regression, clustering, etc.)
• Assist in designing and analyzing A/B tests and experiments
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define data requirements
• Translate business questions into analytical approaches and present findings clearly
• Write clean, well-documented code (primarily Python/R and SQL)
• Support senior data scientists on larger projects and model deployment

Preferred candidate profile

• 1 - 2 years of experience in a data science, analytics, or related role (internships count)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
• Proficiency in Python or R, and strong SQL skills
• Familiarity with common ML libraries (scikit-learn, pandas, numpy)
• Basic understanding of statistics and experimental design
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib/Seaborn)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills able to explain technical concepts simply
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools and techniques
