• Paying £90k base + 17.5% bonus
• Hybrid in Manchester – 1 day per week
• Global Investment Manager (~€15bn AUM, 28 international entities)

I’m working with a global investment platform to hire a Data Steward into a newly formed data team, responsible for bringing structure and clarity to how data is defined and used across the organisation.

This is a front-line role in a greenfield environment, where you’ll play a key part in shaping how data is understood across the business.

The Business

They are a global asset manager with ~€15bn AUM operating across 25+ international subsidiaries. Complex, multi-entity data landscape across real estate, lending and credit building a centralised data platform with a strong focus on governance and quality with an opportunity to shape data practices across a large-scale international operation.

The Role

• Document data lineage from source to consumption across key datasets.
• Build and maintain the organisation’s data catalogue and work closely with Data Engineering to understand and validate data transformations.
• Support the definition and measurement of data quality alongside the Data Quality Lead.
• Investigate data issues and help drive root cause resolution
• Act as the go-to SME for specific datasets within the business

What they’re looking for

• Experience in data governance, data management, or analytical roles
• Strong stakeholder skills — able to bridge business and technical teams
• Comfortable working hands-on with data (SQL preferred).
• Experience documenting data lineage, definitions or transformations
• Background in financial services, lending, credit or asset management is beneficial
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-moving environment
