Altimetrik is hiring a Data Strategy Lead to own the “what and why” of its data and AI investment, connecting business priorities to the data roadmap so the organisation builds the right things in the right order.

What you’ll do

• Own the multi-year data and AI strategy, turning business goals and product priorities into a sequenced roadmap for the Data & AI function
• Prioritise competing demands from business units, product, risk/compliance and engineering, and decide what gets built next and why
• Build investment cases for major initiatives (data products, AI/ML use cases, platform investments), covering value, cost, risk and time-to-value
• Define and track value realisation for delivered initiatives, such as business KPIs moved, cost avoided and revenue enabled
• Set strategic direction for AI/ML use cases and identify and validate new data product opportunities with product and business stakeholders
• Partner with the Lead Data Platform Engineer and the Data Governance Lead so that feasibility, cost and compliance constraints shape the roadmap
• Present Data & AI strategy, trade-offs and progress to senior executives and the board

What we’re looking for

• 15+ years of experience in data strategy, business/technology strategy or senior data product/analytics leadership
• A track record of building and prioritising a data or AI roadmap against real business outcomes
• Experience building business cases for data or AI initiatives and being accountable for the value delivered
• Experience in financial services, fintech or another regulated industry is preferred
• Strong commercial and business acumen, linking data and AI initiatives to revenue, cost, risk or customer outcomes
• Enough technical fluency to discuss platform feasibility and compliance constraints credibly with engineering and governance leads
• Excellent stakeholder management, able to make trade-offs stick without formal authority over delivery teams
• Strong written and verbal communication, and comfort working with ambiguity
• Experience scoping AI/ML use cases from a business angle, or building a strategy function from scratch, is a plus

Pay: Up to ₹4,000,000.00 per year
