Data System Analyst (Banking)

Job Description:

Serves as the key functional bridge between business stakeholders, data governance teams, and technical delivery leads to architect data flows, define system lineage, and drive enterprise data & analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Elicit business needs and translate them into functional specifications, source-to-target mappings (STTM), and logical data models.
• Partner with Solution Architects to ensure system designs meet performance, scalability, and security standards.
• Map end-to-end data lineage across ingestion pipelines, staging areas, and analytical datamarts.
• Define data quality validation rules, automated reconciliations, and compliance controls (PDPA, security access).
• Evaluate Change Requests (CRs) for technical impact, cost, and timeline feasibility.
• Perform root-cause analysis (RCA) on data discrepancies and track defect resolution through SDLC/Agile delivery cycles.
• Define SIT/UAT test strategies, create test scenarios, and guide business users through UAT execution.
• Maintain system functional documentation and lead post-implementation knowledge transfers.
