What they need

Join a growing wealth management firm where data and technology drive better decisions

At Taylor Money, we help people make good decisions with their money.

As a chartered, independent and family-owned wealth management firm, we advise high-net-worth individuals and families across the UK. Accurate data, dependable systems and secure technology are essential to the service we provide.

We are looking for an analytical, proactive and technically minded individual to join us as a Data, Systems & Technology Analyst.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of key business data and systems, support colleagues with day-to-day technology needs, help coordinate cyber security controls and identify practical ways to improve how we work.

The role

This is a varied role at the centre of the business. You will be responsible for maintaining the quality and consistency of information across our core systems, monitoring data feeds and integrations, investigating discrepancies and producing useful business reporting.

You will also act as an internal point of contact for systems and technology queries, working closely with our external IT and cyber security partners. The role is intended to provide coordination and first-line support rather than replace specialist external IT or cyber security expertise.

No two days are the same, and the position offers genuine ownership, variety and the opportunity to improve the systems and processes used across Taylor Money.

Key responsibilities

Data management and reporting

  • Manage and maintain data quality across XPlan, Moneyinfo, CommPay and other business systems.
  • Monitor the accuracy, completeness and consistency of data across different platforms.
  • Identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies, escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Reconcile assets under management, revenue information and other key business metrics.
  • Produce regular and ad-hoc reports to support management and operational decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate provider, product, supplier and fee-code records.
  • Support commission reconciliation and the preparation of data used in management and regulatory reporting.
  • Develop appropriate checks and controls to maintain data integrity.

Business systems and integrations

  • Monitor data feeds and integrations between XPlan, Moneyinfo and relevant third-party providers.
  • Investigate failed feeds, missing information and system-related discrepancies.
  • Work with software providers to resolve issues and implement agreed changes.
  • Review provider and system updates, assess their impact and coordinate implementation.
  • Act as an internal point of contact for colleagues requiring support with business systems.
  • Maintain clear and up-to-date system guidance and process documentation.
  • Support the testing and introduction of new systems, features and integrations.

IT and technology support

  • Provide first-line support for day-to-day system and technology queries from colleagues.
  • Triage issues and coordinate their resolution with external IT providers and software partners.
  • Support user access, password management and multi-factor authentication processes.
  • Help maintain accurate records of devices, software, access and technology-related actions.
  • Assist with website domain routing and other routine technical administration where required.
  • Support technology projects, system changes and new ways of working.
  • Help colleagues use company systems confidently and effectively.

Cyber security and data governance

  • Assist with Cyber Essentials processes and the maintenance of security controls, logs and registers.
  • Work with external IT and cyber security partners to coordinate reviews, actions and improvements.
  • Help promote secure working practices across the business.
  • Support cyber security awareness activities and internal guidance.
  • Escalate suspected security incidents, vulnerabilities or data concerns promptly through the appropriate internal process.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of accurate records and evidence for security and governance purposes.

Automation and continuous improvement

  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual processing and improve efficiency.
  • Develop practical solutions using automation, reporting tools and approved technology.
  • Support the responsible introduction of AI and emerging technology within the firm.
  • Test changes carefully and document new processes before they are introduced.
  • Deliver knowledge-sharing and training sessions for colleagues.
  • Monitor improvements to confirm they are delivering the intended outcome.

What we are looking for

Essential

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to checking information.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Confidence working with multiple software systems and data sources.
  • Experience investigating discrepancies and following issues through to resolution.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership and manage competing priorities.
  • Good judgement and discretion when handling confidential client and business information.
  • A curious mindset and genuine interest in improving systems and processes.

Desirable

  • Experience within financial services, wealth management or another regulated environment.
  • Experience using CRM, client management or revenue-reconciliation systems.
  • Knowledge of XPlan, Moneyinfo, CommPay or similar platforms.
  • Experience managing data feeds, system integrations or third-party software relationships.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, SQL, Python or similar reporting and automation tools.
  • Experience producing management information and business reports.
  • Understanding of data reconciliation and data-quality controls.
  • Awareness of Cyber Essentials, cyber security and data-governance principles.
  • Experience providing first-line systems or technology support.

Development opportunities

The immediate focus of this role is data management, business systems, IT support, cyber security coordination and continuous improvement. As the role develops, there may be opportunities to become involved in additional analytical work, including investment-related reporting, where this matches the individual’s interests, skills and the future needs of the business.

Why join Taylor Money?

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Play a visible role in shaping how the business uses data and technology.
  • Work directly with senior leadership and colleagues across the firm.
  • Take ownership of important systems, controls and improvement projects.
  • Build broad experience across operations, technology, cyber security and regulated financial services.
  • Learn about emerging technologies and AI.
  • Contribute to the continued growth of a successful and ambitious firm.

Benefits

  • Annual discretionary bonus.
  • Hybrid working.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Death in Service benefit.
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave.
  • Professional development support.
  • Study and qualification assistance.
  • Social events throughout the year.
  • Long-service rewards.
  • Supportive and collaborative team culture.
