Data Technical Lead

Qualifications and Requirements

• 4–5 years of experience in software development, data engineering, or a related technical role.
• Proven experience providing technical leadership or guidance to developers and development teams.
• Strong understanding of data technologies, system integrations, and solution development principles.
• Experience working across multiple technical functions, such as development, operations, testing, or deployment.
• Ability to work effectively within complex technology environments involving multiple platforms, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to provide hands-on technical support.
• Experience translating business requirements into practical and effective technical solutions.
• Knowledge of scalable, reusable, and maintainable solution design principles.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to facilitate technical and business discussions.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and ensure technical solutions remain aligned with business goals and the technology roadmap.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with modern data platforms, data integration, and data processing technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions and relevant development tools.
• Experience with Agile or other iterative software development methodologies.
• Exposure to DevOps practices, automated testing, deployment processes, and production support.
• Ability to assess emerging technologies and recommend appropriate solutions based on business and technical needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, development, and implementation of data solutions aligned with business requirements and technology standards.
• Provide technical direction and guidance to developers throughout the solution development lifecycle.
• Develop, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues, providing hands-on coding support when necessary.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to define requirements, prioritize work, and deliver solutions that meet minimum business value expectations.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, testing, and other technical functions, to ensure successful delivery.
• Manage technical dependencies and challenges within a complex technology ecosystem involving multiple systems, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Evaluate new technologies, tools, and approaches to improve data solution development and delivery.
• Promote reusable, scalable, maintainable, and efficient technical solutions aligned with the long-term technology roadmap.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement, and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, technical best practices, and established development processes.
