Data Testing Engineer

Job Purpose

Responsible for ensuring the quality of data products, BI solutions, and AI/ML initiatives through a combination of data testing expertise, test automation, and AI-enabled quality practices. The role works closely with business and technical teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans for Data Platforms, Data Warehouses, Data Marts, BI reports, Data APIs, and AI/ML solutions.
• Perform data validation, ETL/ELT testing, source-to-target reconciliation, and data migration testing.
• Ensure data quality across accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, and validity.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Leverage AI tools and AI Agents to generate test cases, test data, identify defects, and improve testing efficiency.
• Review SQL queries, data transformation logic, and support root cause analysis for data issues.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Engineers, Developers, and Product Owners to ensure business requirements are properly validated.
• Monitor production data quality and investigate data-related incidents.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Engineering.
• Hands-on experience using SQL within the last 6 months, with strong ability to validate and analyze data.
• Experience in test automation and applying AI tools in testing activities.
• Experience with AI Agent Testing is a strong advantage.
• Understanding of data platforms, ETL/ELT processes, and data quality concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Data, Analytics, AI, or Digital Transformation projects.
• Familiarity with Python, Data Testing tools, or modern testing frameworks.
• Experience in Agile delivery environments.
