Database Admin - USA

For our client, we are seeking a Database Admin - USA to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will be responsible for administering and optimizing SQL Server environments that support low-latency, performance-sensitive applications.

The ideal candidate will partner closely with infrastructure and compliance stakeholders to ensure stable operations, secure data management, and resilient recovery capabilities across cloud-based deployments.

You will also play a key role in automating routine processes and maintaining reliable database performance in a dynamic enterprise environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize SQL Server performance for low-latency applications
• Install and manage SQL Server instances on AWS while ensuring proper configuration
• Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery plans
• Manage cloud resources and optimize SQL Server deployments on AWS
• Automate backup processes and ensure compliance with data retention policies

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in SQL Server administration
• Expertise in managing SQL Server databases on AWS EC2
• Deep understanding of performance and reliability for financial and trading systems
• Strong knowledge of database security and compliance regulations
• Familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery solutions
