Database Administration

Key Responsibilities Database Administration Administer and support Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL Managed Instance environments.

Monitor database performance| availability| security| and capacity.

Implement and manage HA/DR solutions including Always On Availability Groups| replication| backup| and recovery.

Perform database patching| upgrades| migrations| and maintenance activities.

Troubleshoot production issues related to performance| locking| blocking| and connectivity. Database Development Design and develop T-SQL objects including Stored Procedures| Functions| Views| and Triggers.

Optimize SQL queries| indexing strategies| and execution plans.

Develop and support ETL processes using SSIS and Azure Data Factory (ADF).Collaborate with application teams to ensure database design follows best practices. Java / Spring Boot Development Develop| enhance| and support Java-based applications using Spring Boot.

Build REST APIs and microservices supporting enterprise applications.

Integrate Spring Boot applications with SQL Server and Azure SQL MI databases.

Participate in application troubleshooting| performance optimization| and production support.

Support CI/CD deployments and development best practices.(Spring Boot experience is desirable but not the primary focus of this role.)

Essential Skills Required Skills7+ years of SQL Server DBA and Database Development experience.

Strong expertise in: Azure SQL Managed Instance (SQL MI)| T-SQL Programming

Query Optimization & Performance Tuning

SSIS| SSRS| Azure Data Factory

Database Security & Monitoring 2+ years of Java and Spring Boot development experience.

Experience with REST APIs and Microservices.

Exposure to Azure DevOps| Git| and CI/CD pipelines.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills Experience with Azure cloud services and database migrations.

Knowledge of Power BI| Databricks| or Synapse.

PowerShell scripting and automation experience.

Azure or Microsoft SQL certifications preferred.
