Database Administrator

**Summary:**Oracle DBA with 4-6 years of experience managing Oracle databases on Linux and Windows platforms, with working knowledge of PostgreSQL. Experienced in database installation, upgrades, patching, backup and recovery, performance tuning, RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and HA/DR solutions. Hands-on expertise in supporting large OLTP/OLAP environments, automation, monitoring, and database migrations.

**Education:**Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

**Experience:**Minimum of 4+ years of experience

• PostgreSQL Streaming Replication and DR 
• Database Performance Tuning and Query Optimization 
• Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows Administration

Roles and Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle (Primary) and PostgreSQL (Secondary) databases. 
• Administer Oracle RAC, ASM, Clusterware, Data Guard, and PostgreSQL Streaming Replication. 
• Manage backup and recovery activities using RMAN, Data Pump, and PostgreSQL backup utilities. 
• Perform database cloning, migrations, patching, and version upgrades. 
• Monitor and tune database performance, SQL queries, and database objects. 
• Support HA/DR implementations and replication environments, including GoldenGate (preferred). 
• Develop and maintain Shell/PowerShell scripts for automation and monitoring. 
• Implement database security, encryption, and access controls. 
• Troubleshoot database incidents and ensure system availability and reliability.
