Role Overview:

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Database Administrator to work on a contract basis. The role involves managing and optimizing database systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security. Responsibilities include maintaining database integrity, troubleshooting issues, and implementing backup and recovery procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain database systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases

• Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize queries for efficiency

• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups, indexing, and updates

• Collaborate with development teams to support application requirements and data needs

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL

• Experience with database design, normalization, and indexing strategies

• Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures to prevent data loss

• Familiarity with performance tuning and query optimization techniques

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot database issues
