Own the databases powering global commerce optimize SQL Server and MongoDB, strengthen cloud infrastructure, and shape smarter, more resilient operations in Pune.

Role Overview

As a Database administrator, you will have overall responsibility for our databases infrastructure.

You will be part of a team with mixed skills whose responsibility is daily operation, problem solving, analysis and design.

Your role as database administrator will be central to the operation of our systems.

Having experience of infrastructure management and managing servers in on-prem Data Centers, Azure and Google and able to manage patch the servers and troubleshoot as and when required would be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Performance optimization and trend analysis.
• Daily operations and manage existing databases
• Maintain and develop routines for operating database servers
• Manage updates to new versions of SQL Server and MongoDB
• Automate existing routines for more efficient management
• Manage database permissions and security aspects of database management
• Investigate and resolve database related issues/problems
• Manage high availability, RTO/RPO and retention of data

Who are you

We are looking for a talent with at least 4 years of technical experience and experience in SQL Server MongoDB Server, with knowledge about:

• Windows clusters, availability groups and log shipping, installation, upgrading, and migrating
• SQL Server
• Indexing, index management, statistics, integrity checks, configuration, and patching
• Windows Linux Server, SQL Server MongoDB, and the Transact-SQL query language
• Working experience on MongoDB (mandatory)
• Working knowledge on Devops (preferred)
• Working knowledge on Cloud - Azure, Google cloud (mandatory)
• Working knowledge on Backup and Restore methodology - Database + Server (mandatory)
• Proactive with analysing database environment health utilizing monitoring tools
• Query tuning performance optimization (preferred)
• Work closely with developers and assist them with providing query tuning recommendations
• Ability to create scripts in PowerShell or other language
• Experience with virtualization platforms, eg Hyper-V and/or VMware is a plus.
• Experience in managing infrastructure on Azure Google is a plus.
