Database Administrator

We're working with a leading technology integrator providing innovative solutions to government and commercial clients.

The Role

• Lead SQL database migrations from on-premises environments to AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Install, configure, maintain, and optimize enterprise database systems, including SQL Server, across hybrid environments.
• Design, implement, and maintain disaster recovery strategies for SQL environments targeting AWS and Azure Cloud.
• Drive architecture and capacity planning for mission-critical databases.
• Mentor other database administrators on AWS and Azure Cloud best practices and contribute to automation initiatives.
• Ensure the security, availability, reliability, and scalability of enterprise database systems.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience, or 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Proven expertise in migrating SQL Always-on and SQL Cluster to Azure and AWS Cloud (IaaS and PaaS).
• Strong hands-on experience in SQL Server administration across on-premises, AWS, and Azure Cloud environments.
• In-depth knowledge of SQL Server installation, configuration, optimization, and ongoing maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot performance issues, analyze execution plans, and implement database performance optimizations.
• SQL Server and AWS or Azure Cloud certifications are highly preferred.
