What will you do?

• Design, build, and operate highly available MariaDB clusters, ensuring stability and scalability of the database platform.
• Develop and maintain robust strategies for backup, recovery, replication, and high-availability.
• Analyze and optimize SQL queries, database performance, and overall system scalability.
• Automate database and infrastructure operations using tools such as Ansible or Terraform, driving continuous evolution.
• Implement and improve database security, compliance, and encryption standards.
• Contribute to incident management and participate in on-call rotation to ensure the stability of business-critical real-time systems.

What are we looking for?

At Aubay, our focus is on professionals who bring both technical expertise and the right mindset:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience administering MariaDB in highly available production environments.
• Strong expertise in SQL, query optimization, and database performance tuning.
• Experience with at least one additional relational database system, ideally PostgreSQL.
• Good scripting and automation skills using languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl, and experience with Infrastructure as Code.
• Solid understanding of IT security, compliance, high-availability concepts, and operating databases in containerized environments (Kubernetes is a plus).
• A structured and analytical mindset with a high degree of ownership, collaboration, and proficiency in English.
• Alignment with our corporate culture and a commitment to integrity and ethics are highly valued;
• Strong customer focus, teamwork, task prioritisation, and daily commitment are highly appreciated.
