Job Summary

We are looking for a Database Developer / Data Engineer with strong expertise in SingleStore database optimization and Python scripting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for improving database performance, developing automation solutions, and supporting data-intensive applications. Experience with MongoDB is desirable and will be considered an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize and tune SingleStore databases for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Analyze and troubleshoot slow-running queries, indexing issues, and database bottlenecks.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts for automation, data processing, monitoring, and system integration.
• Design and implement efficient data workflows and ingestion processes.
• Monitor database health and proactively identify performance improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with application development and engineering teams to support business requirements.
• Perform database maintenance activities, capacity planning, and performance analysis.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for database solutions and operational processes.
• Ensure adherence to data security, governance, and best practices.

Must Have Skills

• 3-5 years of experience in Database Development, Data Engineering, or a related role.
• Strong hands-on experience with SingleStore (MemSQL).
• Proven expertise in database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and troubleshooting.
• Strong proficiency in Python scripting for automation and data processing.
• Advanced SQL skills with experience in writing and optimizing complex queries.
• Experience working with large-scale datasets and high-volume transactional systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

• Experience or working knowledge of MongoDB.
• Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture.
• Exposure cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and data integration frameworks.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices.
