Join a high-performing Federal Government technology team supporting some of Australia's most important business registry platforms. Working within an Agile environment, you will play a key role in the design, delivery and ongoing optimisation of enterprise database solutions that underpin critical national services.

This opportunity sits within a platform and security-focused team responsible for the reliable, secure and compliant operation of large-scale registry systems. You will work closely with architecture, application development and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality database solutions across modern AWS environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build and support enterprise PostgreSQL database solutions in AWS Aurora environments
• Develop and optimise database schemas, queries, functions and triggers for performance and scalability
• Collaborate with application, architecture and DevOps teams throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Monitor and enhance database performance, availability and resilience
• Implement backup, recovery and disaster management strategies
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring and support continuous improvement initiatives

Key Skills:

• Extensive experience designing and supporting PostgreSQL databases
• Strong expertise with AWS RDS Aurora and cloud-based database environments
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams
• Knowledge of database performance tuning, optimisation and scalability practices
• Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, database migrations and infrastructure as code
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills
