MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

3+ years of database development experience.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Database Developer to design, develop, and optimize database solutions for a high-volume filing platform. The role involves database schema design, SQL development, data modeling, pipeline development, and performance optimization using AWS data services. The successful candidate will help ensure data integrity, security, and compliance while collaborating with developers and data architects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement database schemas, stored procedures, and SQL queries.

• Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.

• Optimize database performance and queries for high-volume workloads.

• Work with relational and NoSQL databases and AWS data services.

• Support data modeling and efficient data access patterns.

• Maintain data integrity, security, and compliance.

• Collaborate with developers and data architects on database solutions.

• Use AI-assisted tools to improve database development and pipeline workflows.

MANDATORY SKILLS

• Strong SQL development skills.

• Strong data modeling skills.

• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases on AWS.

• Understanding of database design and query performance tuning.

• Knowledge of data security and integrity.

HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS

• Knowledge of AWS database and data services, including Amazon Aurora, Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.

• Experience with high-volume transaction processing.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted database development tools.

• Understanding of federal IT environments.

WORK ARRANGEMENT

This is a full-time hybrid position based in Reston, Virginia, with three remote workdays. Occasional work at client locations in the Washington, D.C. area may be required.
