Database Developer - SQL & SSIS

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Database Developer to design, develop, and optimize data solutions using SQL Server, PostgreSQL, db2 and SSIS.

The role involves building scalable ETL pipelines, enhancing database performance, and supporting data operations for a US-based client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Database, SQL Server Jobs, stored procedures, Functions, Views, scripts, and ETL workflows (SSIS).
• Design and optimize database schemas (normalization, dimensional modeling).
• Build and manage data pipelines for data processing, enrichment, and delivery.
• Optimize query performance using execution plans, indexing, and query tuning techniques.
• Monitor and troubleshoot slow queries, deadlocks, and ETL performance issues & Failures.
• Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and monitoring mechanisms.
• Collaborate with US-based stakeholders for requirement gathering and delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in engineering (B.E / B.Tech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in database development and ETL processes.
• Strong experience in MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, SSIS, SSMS, T-SQL.
• Expertise in performance tuning, indexing, and execution plan analysis.
• Experience in ETL development and data pipeline optimization.
• Knowledge of data modeling (ER, normalization, dimensional modeling).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Provide production support to ensure smooth operations, promptly addressing critical issues as they arise.
• Participate in after-hours support rollout, addressing urgent issues and performing deployments during off-hours as needed.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS RDS, CloudWatch.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts (SCD, Star Schema).
• Exposure to advanced performance tuning (partitioning, parallelism, VACUUM/ANALYZE).
• Ability to handle production support during critical times and after-hours deployments, ensuring business continuity.

Additional Expectations :

• Shift time: 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
• Experience in client-facing roles is a plus.
• Self-driven with strong attention to detail.
