Database Engineer / Database Administrator

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Database Engineer / Database Administrator to manage mission-critical database environments, ensure high availability, optimize performance, and support production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, operate, and maintain high-availability database clusters across Oracle, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
• Perform advanced database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and capacity planning.
• Design and manage backups, point-in-time recovery (PITR), failover, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Implement monitoring, telemetry, automated alerting, and production incident troubleshooting.
• Manage database replication, clustering, connection management, security, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle activities.
• Participate in on-call rotations and maintain high reliability against defined RPO/RTO targets.
• Automate database operations using Python, Shell, or equivalent scripting tools.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Work with Linux/Unix, cloud infrastructure, networking, storage, and containerized environments.
• Collaborate with application, platform, security, and operations teams.
