Database Managed Services Engineer III

Work You'll Do

As a Project - Managed Services Engineer III on the Human Services Transformation team, you will be responsible for:

• Lead database administration activities for PostgreSQL environments supporting Human Services systems
• Administer and maintain databases across development, test, and production environments, including user access, configuration, patching, and release support
• Monitor database availability, capacity, performance, and health; investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
• Perform backup, recovery, disaster-recovery, data-integrity, and security-administration activities in accordance with project requirements
• Partner with application, infrastructure, and client teams to plan changes, resolve technical issues, and document operational procedures

Qualifications

Required**:**

• Bachelor's degree
• 2+ years of experience supporting Child Support Enforcement systems
• 4+ years of experience performing PostgreSQL database administration within relational database management systems (RDBMS) environments
• Ability to travel 0-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred:

• Experience supporting PostgreSQL databases in production environments
• Experience with PostgreSQL backup, recovery, high-availability, or performance-tuning activities
