Database Manager

For our client, we are seeking a Database Manager to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will oversee a technical team responsible for database operations, service delivery, and ongoing modernization efforts. The Database Manager will partner closely with project managers and stakeholders to keep work aligned, resolve obstacles, and maintain clear communication around timelines, risks, and incidents. This position also plays a key role in driving continuous improvement, strengthening team performance, and supporting service strategy in a highly collaborative environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $142,792 – $166,750 annually

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily team operations by delegating tasks and resolving roadblocks
• Serve as a subject matter expert for the team's service catalog and technical strategy
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure clear communication on project timelines and risks
• Incorporate continuous improvement into team operations to meet evolving customer demands
• Manage personnel functions including recruitment, performance assessments, and training
• Coordinate responses to incidents and maintain effective communication with stakeholders

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in IT-related disciplines
• Strong leadership skills with people management expertise
• Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL technologies
• Proficiency in Agile methodology and project management practices
• Experience modernizing technology services to improve efficiency
