Databricks Platform Administrator - US Citizen - DHS EOD Clearance

Job Summary

ETC Solutions is hiring a Databricks Platform Administrator to support a mission-critical data program at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). You will own the day-to-day administration, governance, and monitoring of an enterprise Databricks environment, working on site with the federal customer in Arlington.

This role is for a hands-on administrator who knows Unity Catalog, cluster policies, and identity provisioning, and who can explain platform decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What You Will Do

• Manage workspaces, clusters and pools, jobs, Unity Catalog objects, secret scopes, and cluster policies
• Configure cluster, job, pipeline, and SQL warehouse policies
• Manage user accounts, service principals, and groups, and implement SCIM and REST API identity provisioning
• Monitor the platform using Unity Catalog system tables, DBU consumption, audit logs, and Lakehouse Monitoring
• Audit access and sharing policies, validating user, group, and data asset permissions against data owner policies
• Apply and enforce tagging on SQL warehouses, classic and serverless compute, jobs, pipelines, and Databricks Apps
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation supporting data pipelines, dashboards, and model serving endpoints
• Support analysis, briefings, reports, and facilitated workshops that help the customer define solutions and evaluate results

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience within the last 8 years administering cloud-based data platforms
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
• Databricks Platform Administrator accreditation (required)
• Working knowledge of Unity Catalog governance, identity management, and cost monitoring
• Ability to obtain a favorable DHS/CISA Entry on Duty determination through an SF-85P Public Trust background investigation
• U.S. citizenship

Nice to Have

• Active or prior DHS Public Trust
• Other Databricks certifications (Data Engineer Associate or Professional)
• Experience in a federal or DHS environment
• AWS or Azure cloud experience

Work Schedule

• On site in Arlington, VA (4200 Wilson Blvd and 1310 N. Courthouse Rd)
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET
• Telework only with CISA approval, and only within the U.S.
• On-call rotation as part of 24/7 program support

Start Timeline

The Public Trust investigation typically takes 30 days or more after a complete package is submitted. Candidates with active DHS suitability may start sooner.

Pay: $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
