As we continue expanding our Data & AI Platform practice, we are seeking experienced Databricks Solutions Architects to help clients modernize their data ecosystems and unlock the full potential of AI and advanced analytics.

Role Overview

As a Databricks Solutions Architect , you will serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise clients, helping shape and deliver large-scale data, analytics, AI, and cloud transformation initiatives. You will partner closely with client executives, account leaders, delivery teams, and technology partners to architect innovative solutions that accelerate business value.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in Databricks and modern data platforms with strong client-facing consulting skills and the ability to influence executive stakeholders.

This role sits at the intersection of solution architecture, strategic consulting, technical pre-sales, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients on enterprise data, analytics, AI, and cloud transformation strategies.
• Lead architecture and solution design initiatives leveraging Databricks and modern cloud data platforms.
• Drive technical discovery sessions, architecture workshops, platform assessments, and executive presentations.
• Design scalable data, AI, and analytics solutions aligned with clients' strategic objectives and business outcomes.
• Partner with sales and account teams to shape, solution, and support strategic opportunities.
• Develop modernization roadmaps across data engineering, machine learning, generative AI, governance, and analytics initiatives.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Cloud Architects, and Delivery Leaders to ensure successful solution implementation.
• Build strong relationships with client stakeholders, including CIOs, CDOs, Data & Analytics leaders, and business executives.
• Support platform adoption and value realization across enterprise accounts.
• Contribute to MathCo's thought leadership through client workshops, solution accelerators, industry events, and innovation initiatives.
• Mentor and guide architects, consultants, and engineering teams on Databricks best practices and modern data architecture patterns.
• Contribute to capability development within the Databricks, Data Engineering, and AI practices.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Data Engineering, Cloud Architecture, Technical Consulting, or Customer-Facing Technology Leadership roles.
• Hands-on expertise with the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.
• Strong experience developing solutions using Python, SQL, Spark, and PySpark.
• Deep understanding of modern data platform architecture, including:
• Data Engineering
• Data Warehousing & Lakehouses
• Real-Time & Streaming Architectures
• Data Governance & Security
• AI/ML Platforms
• Generative AI Solutions
• Experience architecting enterprise-scale cloud solutions on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Proven success leading technical strategy and architecture discussions with senior client stakeholders.
• Ability to connect technical architecture decisions to business outcomes and ROI.
• Strong communication, presentation, and executive stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting complex enterprise evaluations, migration programs, or platform modernization initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Databricks certifications (Data Engineer, Architect, ML Engineer, or related).
• Experience with Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or other modern data ecosystems.
• Consulting or professional services experience working with Fortune 500 organizations.
• Experience with AI/ML, MLOps, and Generative AI use cases.
• Industry expertise in Retail, CPG, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Financial Services, or Technology.
• Published thought leadership, conference speaking engagements, or open-source contributions.
