Freelance SAP Data Migration Lead – S/4HANA | Rome, Italy

About the Role

For a large international organisation operating in the defence industry, we are looking for an experienced SAP Data Migration Lead to support a complex SAP S/4HANA transformation programme.

You will be responsible for coordinating data migration activities within the Customer Service & Support (CSS) workstream, working closely with business stakeholders, data owners and technical integration teams across Italy and Europe.

The role requires a strong understanding of SAP Customer Service (CS), transactional data migration and cross-functional data dependencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate SAP data migration activities across the Customer Service & Support workstream.
• Manage data cleansing, mapping, scoping and validation activities.
• Support the migration of master and transactional data into SAP S/4HANA, with a particular focus on transactional data.
• Work closely with data owners, business stakeholders and system integrators.
• Support data extraction, error analysis and data quality improvements.
• Validate migrated data using SAP ADM and post-load reporting.
• Track migration progress, prepare KPIs and report to the Data Lead.
• Support the creation and validation of Golden Data.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience within SAP business transformation programmes.
• Strong experience with complex SAP data migrations, preferably involving S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of SAP CS (Customer Service) or SAP Services.
• Good understanding of master data, transactional data and cross-functional dependencies.
• Experience with SAP migration tools such as S/4HANA Data Migration Cockpit and/or SAP ADM (formerly Infinity).
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in complex, international and matrix-driven environments.
• Italian nationality required, with eligibility for Italian security clearance.
• Native Italian and a good professional level of English.
• Willingness to travel occasionally thru europe expenses covered
