Palace House Care Home, part of the Farrington Care Home, is looking for compassionate, reliable and dedicated Care Assistants to join our friendly team.

We provide high-quality residential, nursing and dementia care for older people, with a strong focus on dignity, respect and person-centred support.

Your Role

As a Care Assistant, you will play an important part in supporting our residents to live with dignity, comfort and independence.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing high-quality, person-centred care and support.
• Assisting residents with personal care and daily living activities.
• Supporting mobility, nutrition and hydration where required.
• Promoting residents' dignity, privacy, independence, choice and respect.
• Administering medication where appropriately trained and authorised.
• Observing, recording and reporting changes in residents' health and wellbeing.
• Maintaining accurate care records and documentation.
• Building positive and respectful relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
• Following safeguarding, health and safety and company procedures.
• Contributing to a warm, safe and supportive care environment.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Compassionate, caring and respectful.
• Reliable, responsible and flexible.
• Comfortable working as part of a team.
• A confident communicator with good written and verbal English.
• Organised and committed to delivering high standards of care.
• Professional and able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Experienced in elderly care or a nursing home environment — preferred but not essential.

A Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential. Training and ongoing development may be available for the right candidate.

This is a self-employed role, not an employed PAYE position. Applicants must be willing and eligible to work on a self-employed basis.

This is an in-person role at Palace House Care Home in Burnley.

Applicants must be able to commute to or relocate to Burnley, BB12 6TD, before starting work.
