Day Porter

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Porter to join our maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the meticulous upkeep of the common and exterior areas of multi-family buildings in our Portfolio.

Duties

• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, light janitorial
• Pick up litter on grounds
• Operate trash compactors and clear trash chutes
• Replace light bulbs
• Assist with snow removal
• Clean hallways, corridors, stairways, and amenity areas
• Performs other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English
• Prior porter or janitorial experience in commercial or residential settings
• Minimum one year experience in related field
• Demonstrated knowledge of work safety habits
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness and safety standards

Physical Demands

• Pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 10 lbs. regularly, 10-15 lbs. frequently or 20-35 lbs. occasionally
• Frequent walking of buildings. Need to bend, stoop, kneel, and occasionally climb or crawl
• Normal range of vision, hearing, speech, and smell

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
