We are seeking a proactive and dependable Day Porter to join our facilities maintenance team. Duties

• Perform routine cleaning of floors, restrooms, lobbies, hallways, and other common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
• Handle custodial tasks including trash removal, dusting surfaces, replenishing supplies, and sanitizing high-touch areas to ensure optimal sanitation standards.
• Conduct light maintenance duties such as minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and ensuring facility fixtures are in good working order.
• Maintain cleanliness of exterior spaces by sweeping entryways, parking lots, and sidewalks; manage snow removal or debris clearing as needed.
• Operate cleaning machinery safely following chemical handling safety procedures; use appropriate chemicals for cleaning and sanitation tasks.
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and request replenishments to ensure continuous operations without interruption.

Qualifications

• Proven custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or industrial settings with knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
• Familiarity with chemical agent handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks, including heavy lifting while adhering to safe lifting practices.
• Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with staff and visitors.
• Experience with floor care equipment such as buffers and floor polishers; knowledge of sanitation standards is preferred.
• Basic maintenance skills including minor repairs and painting; ability to follow safety protocols diligently.
• Demonstrated reliability with excellent attention to detail and time management skills.

Pay: $13.95 - $14.00 per hour
