Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
• Handle cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and chemical sprayers safely and efficiently to maintain floors and surfaces.
• Conduct light maintenance duties like replacing light bulbs, reporting repairs needed, and assisting with minor facility upkeep to ensure operational excellence.
• Manage chemical agents by following safety protocols for handling cleaning supplies and ensuring proper storage to prevent accidents.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment to support facility needs.
• Monitor common areas for safety hazards or debris, promptly addressing issues or escalating them to maintenance teams as necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting visitors courteously and responding promptly to cleaning or facility requests from staff or clients.

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Familiarity with cleaning procedures involving chemical handling safety procedures is highly desirable.
• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers or industrial vacuums will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocol adherence ensures a safe working environment for all team members.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safe lifting practices is essential.
• Previous experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning can help you excel in this role.

Pay: $15.00 per hour
