Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners to maintain floors and surfaces in optimal condition.
• Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures during cleaning and sanitation tasks.
• Conduct light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, minor repairs, and painting touch-ups to support facility upkeep.
• Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices and safety protocol adherence.
• Monitor common areas for safety hazards or maintenance issues and promptly report or address them to ensure a secure environment.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting visitors courteously and responding promptly to their cleaning or maintenance requests.

Skills

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience with knowledge of commercial cleaning standards.
• Strong understanding of cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and the proper use of cleaning equipment.
• Experience handling chemical agents safely and following chemical handling safety procedures.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while practicing safe lifting techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety protocol adherence during all tasks.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with staff and visitors in a professional manner.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting, or general upkeep is a plus.

Pay: $11.00 - $12.50 per hour
