Day Porter Janitor

Location: Little Rock, AR 72204

Schedule: Monday–Saturday, 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

Pay: $14–$16 per hour, based on experience

Hours: 24 hours per week

We are accepting applications for a very light-duty day porter position focused on maintaining a clean, stocked, and presentable facility throughout the day.

This position is perfect for retirees seeking a steady part-time schedule and supplemental income. We welcome applicants of all ages who can meet the position’s requirements.

Responsibilities

• Check restrooms throughout the shift and address cleaning needs.
• Replenish toilet tissue, paper towels, and hand soap.
• Empty trash containers and replace liners as needed.
• Wipe desks, counters, and other accessible surfaces.
• Remove fingerprints and smudges from glass and doors.
• Perform light dusting and touch-up vacuuming, sweeping, or mopping as needed.
• Keep cleaning supplies neat and organized.
• Report supply shortages, maintenance concerns, or cleaning issues to management.
• Complete a final walkthrough to ensure assigned areas are clean and stocked.

What to Expect

The work centers on routine upkeep and light cleaning. You should be comfortable walking around the facility, standing, bending, reaching, and handling cleaning supplies and trash during your four-hour shift.

Qualifications

• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation.
• Availability to work Monday–Saturday, 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
• Strong attention to detail, including noticing small cleaning needs.
• Ability to follow a checklist and work independently.
• A professional, respectful attitude toward staff and visitors.
• Cleaning experience is helpful but not required.

This position includes a 90-day probationary period. We value consistent attendance, thorough work, and clear communication.
