Day Porter Janitor

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to uphold cleanliness standards.
• Handle chemical agents with care, following safety protocols for proper storage, mixing, and disposal to ensure a safe environment.
• Maintain safety procedures during heavy lifting or manual handling activities to prevent injuries.
• Provide friendly customer service by greeting visitors, answering questions, and directing individuals appropriately within the facility.

Qualifications

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience with knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools.
• Experience handling chemical agents safely in accordance with safety protocols.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting using safe lifting practices when moving supplies or equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Good communication skills for interacting professionally with staff and visitors.
• Prior experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is a plus but not required.
