Life Skills Instructor
Boca Raton, FL | Full-Time | $18/hour + Sign-On Bonus

JARC is seeking a compassionate and energetic Life Skills Instructor to work with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our ADAPT Day Program. You'll help participants develop independence, workplace skills, social skills, and confidence through engaging classroom and community-based activities.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in education, human services, recreation, coaching, childcare, senior services, healthcare support, or direct support work.

What You'll Do

• Lead engaging classroom activities focused on life skills and vocational development.
• Teach practical job and daily living skills, including computer skills, cooking, mailroom tasks, and environmental services.
• Support participants in developing workplace habits and professional behaviors.
• Encourage independence, self-confidence, and community engagement.
• Monitor progress and maintain required documentation.
• Work collaboratively with staff, participants, and families.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or relevant experience preferred.
• Candidates with backgrounds in education, human services, psychology, recreation, coaching, direct support, childcare, senior services, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
• Related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Valid Florida Driver's License and ability to drive a passenger van.
• Ability to successfully complete required background screening and drug testing.
