**Location:** Surface Coal Mine

**Shift:** Day Shift (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)

**Schedule:** Monday through Friday – 10 hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break; Saturday – 8 hour shift; off every other Saturday depending on inventory

## **Position Overview**

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Day Shift Fill Dozer Operator to join our surface coal mining team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a dozer to maintain safe dumping areas for trucks, build and maintain roads, and assist with reclamation activities. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, operational efficiency, and teamwork.

## **Key Responsibilities**

- Operate dozer equipment to maintain safe and efficient dumping areas for haul trucks.
- Build, maintain, and repair roads within the mining site to ensure safe and smooth transportation routes.
- Assist with reclamation efforts, including grading and contouring land to meet environmental and regulatory standards.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, truck operators, and other team members to coordinate work activities.
- Adapt to changing site conditions and priorities to support mining operations efficiently.

## **Qualifications & Skills**

- Proven experience operating dozer equipment, preferably in surface coal mining or heavy construction.
- Strong knowledge of safe dumping procedures and site traffic management.
- Ability to build and maintain roads and perform land reclamation tasks.
- Excellent attention to safety and detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work a standard shift of 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch break.
- Willingness to work 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday and 8 hours on Saturdays, with every other Saturday off depending on inventory needs.
- Valid operator certifications and licenses as required by local regulations.

## **Work Environment**

This position operates outdoors in a surface coal mining environment. The role requires working around heavy machinery and trucks, often in varying weather conditions. Strict adherence to safety standards is essential.
