Day time Hostess

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Day Time Hostess to create a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests. In this role, you will be the first point of contact, ensuring smooth guest flow and exceptional customer service throughout their visit. Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
• Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Maintain accurate waitlists and monitor table availability to optimize seating flow
• Answer incoming phone calls with proper phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and guest inquiries
• Coordinate with the dining staff to ensure timely seating and guest comfort
• Assist in managing guest relations by addressing questions, concerns, or special requests promptly
• Uphold food safety standards and ensure cleanliness in the hostess station and waiting areas

Skills

• Proven experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role within a food service environment
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent phone etiquette
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Exceptional organizational skills to handle reservations, waitlists, and guest flow efficiently
• Basic math skills for handling seating counts, reservations, and billing-related tasks
• Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards
• Ability to remain energetic, positive, and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in guest services, food service, or restaurant operations is highly preferred
