Daycare Aide/Float

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Daycare professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childhood development and a commitment to creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children. This role involves caring for children in a daycare setting, ensuring their safety, and fostering their growth through structured activities and play.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with children in a daycare setting, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Provide care for infants, toddlers, preschool-aged, and school-aged children, including diaper changing, feeding, nap time supervision, sanitizing toys, and cleaning.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
• Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage good behavior.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive team atmosphere focused on the well-being of the children.
• Being available to all classrooms while in the Float role to help cover or assist in bathrooms, diaper changes, learning times, and more.
• Maintain the center's overall cleanliness which may include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, toy sanitization, and more.

Requirements

• Experience working in a daycare or preschool setting is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
• First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held. (will train on site)
• Ability to work effectively with children of varying abilities, including those with disabilities.
• Strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents, and team members effectively.
• A genuine love for working with children and fostering their growth in a nurturing environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.50 - $15.50 per hour
