Daycare Assistant

Overview

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising children during play, meals, naps, and learning activities to ensure safety and engagement
• Support classroom management by maintaining organized, clean, and inviting learning spaces
• Implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily routines, progress, and any concerns
• Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures and mandated reporting laws
• Help with diapering, feeding, and basic infant care as needed for younger children in the center
• Support staff in maintaining compliance with licensing requirements related to childhood development standards

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of child development instruction and classroom management techniques
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
• Certification in first aid, CPR, including pediatric first aid, is required or willing to obtain upon hire
• Familiarity with early childhood education principles and toddler care practices
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents and team members
• Previous nannying or babysitting experience involving young children is advantageous

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
