Daycare Provider – Job Description

We are looking for a caring, dependable, responsible, and energetic Daycare Provider to join our home daycare. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children and is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, clean, and positive environment where children can learn, play, and develop.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise and actively monitor children at all times to ensure their health, safety, and well-being.
• Provide age-appropriate learning, play, and developmental activities for children.
• Assist with daily routines, including meals, snacks, nap/rest time, toileting, diapering, and personal hygiene as applicable.
• Prepare and serve meals and snacks according to daycare procedures and children's needs.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, organized, and child-friendly environment.
• Support children's emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development.
• Encourage positive behavior, sharing, communication, cooperation, and respectful interactions.
• Monitor children's activities and respond appropriately to their individual needs.
• Follow established daycare policies, procedures, schedules, and safety practices.
• Follow applicable Arizona child care licensing requirements and health and safety regulations.
• Communicate professionally and appropriately with parents/guardians regarding children's daily activities, needs, and progress.
• Complete required daily records, attendance records, incident reports, or other daycare documentation as applicable.
• Assist with maintaining a safe environment, including following emergency, fire, sanitation, and supervision procedures.
• Work cooperatively with the daycare owner and follow reasonable directions related to the care and supervision of children.
• Perform other child-care-related duties as reasonably assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or in a childcare setting is preferred.
• Must meet applicable Arizona child care staff requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or must be obtained within the applicable required timeframe.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card required as applicable.
• Successful completion of required background checks and screening.
• Must be dependable, punctual, patient, responsible, and caring.
• Ability to maintain active supervision of multiple children and respond appropriately to their individual needs.
• Ability to communicate professionally with parents/guardians and daycare management.
• Ability to work effectively in a home daycare environment.
• Must be able to maintain appropriate professional boundaries and protect children's privacy and confidentiality.
• Must be willing to follow all daycare policies, procedures, health and safety practices, and applicable licensing requirements.

The candidate should be reliable, respectful, team-oriented, and comfortable assisting with the daily routines and responsibilities of a home daycare.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
