Daycare Assistant

Duties

• Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Assist with implementing age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development and learning
• Support classroom management by maintaining organized environments and encouraging positive behavior
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences
• Help with basic caregiving tasks such as diapering, feeding, and nap time routines
• Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and play areas to ensure a healthy environment

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices
• Certification in First Aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid certification is a plus)
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is advantageous
• Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with patience, enthusiasm, and professionalism
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
