Daycare Cook/Kitchen Manager

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic team member to cook and run kitchen operations at our daycare center. As a Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for food preparation, managing inventory, menu planning, individualized menus to accommodate food restrictions, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Your role is vital to the planning, preparation, and service of breakfast, lunch, and snack for the children in the center from infants through pre-k.

This is a full-time role, Monday through Friday, 7:00-3:00. No weekends!

Duties

• Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and service to ensure consistency and quality.
• Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
• Enforce food safety regulations and sanitation standards to guarantee a safe food environment.
• Plan menus that follow CACFP regulations and guidelines and meet the needs of children with dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen that meets all health code and ServSafe guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in quick service or similar high-volume food industry roles.
• Background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management with an emphasis on food safety.
• Knowledge of inventory control practices within a restaurant setting.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and service.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
