Daycare Director

Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Daycare Director to lead and manage our vibrant early childhood education center. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children, and foster strong relationships with families and staff. Your leadership will inspire a team committed to providing high-quality care and developmental support for young children. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, possesses excellent communication skills, and has a proactive approach to creating an engaging learning atmosphere.

Duties

• Supervise daily center operations, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and safety standards
• Lead, mentor, and support teaching staff to deliver exceptional child development instruction and classroom management
• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promote childhood development, including infant care, toddler care, and preschool activities
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding their children's progress, behavior, and any concerns
• Oversee child supervision to ensure safety at all times, including during activities, meals, and outdoor play
• Coordinate staff training sessions (such as first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid), and ongoing professional development
• Ensure adherence to mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety incidents

Experience

• Proven experience working with children across various age groups in daycare or preschool settings
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development milestones, and behavior management techniques
• Experience working with families to address concerns and foster positive parent communication
• Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, or similar safety training is highly desirable
